Superstition

Well, today is Friday the 13th. Which, I suppose, is why you chose this topic. Honestly, I don't think I am very superstitious. I do watch my share of Ghost Hunters though. Have you ever seen that show? That mess is crazy. Side note: If you watch Friday the 13th backwards it's about a friendly, yet ugly man, that returns peoples heads using his magic machete. As far as Friday the 13th goes, I don't really believe in bad luck. For example, if I was to walk under a ladder today, I don't believe I would get hit by a car on my way home. Also, I don't believe the fact that I just said that will "jinx" me in to getting hit by a car.

Braces

It is a very strange feeling when you have metal in your mouth for almost 5 years then one day, it is all gone. I have had braces since 6th grade and I am a sophomore now. That is a long time. I just want to lick my teeth. They're all slimy. I also kind of forgot how to eat. I keep trying to pick things out of my teeth, but then there's nothing there and i'm like ooohh.

Well today, I am going to tell you about my mothers day. This weekend I took a trip to my grandmothers river house and rode a boat, it was cool. I was thinking ahead and knew I would need to bake a mothers day cake. So I bought some yellow cake and chocolate icing at the store (Peggy's favorite) and brought it to the river house. On Sunday I baked it and iced it and all that good stuff but then I realized I brought nothing for decoration. So I found some toothpicks and made art. Happy Mothers Day!

Lip Dub!

I think the lip dub was a huge success. I think freshman watching this video will truly feel more comfortable entering the school. This video was not only good for showing clubs and things that the school has to offer, I also like that this video will convey a more relaxed high school atmosphere. I remember coming in as a freshman and not being sure what kind of vibe to expect. I think this will hopefully make the freshman feel more comfortable at such a new and big place. Yay Lip Dub!

My First .GIF

Today was a productive day in seventh period lit mag. I mean, It is always a productive day but I learned something very exciting today. As I was doodling myself some grass and a rhino and a tree I began to play with the little eye that makes things disappear (you know the one). Anyway I was reminded that I was still unaware of how to make a .gif file. So I asked my fellow peers and at first Sadie told me to make it in flash which was confusing because I have never used flash before. So after some frustration I looked for a new way. Then my good friend, Nikolaas, told me that .gif animations could be made straight from photoshop. So he showed me how, like the nice fellow he is.
